Dan Cleary invited me to a party up on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge.  The party was just a bunch of Washington Bro-dudes but.... It's been a while.
I studied for the qualifying exam for a month.
The whole time I grew a beard as a sort of "rally cap."
It was pretty thick, but it wasn't that much better than my last attempt,
while I was in Alaska.  
People'd call me up during this month of solitary studying,
