Hmm... I suppose it all depends on how things turn out. If the other cast and production crew members think that I should fill a role, then it would be rude of me not to oblige.

Even so, the person with the most real-life experience for a role is not the one who automatically gets the part. Some directors prefer taking fresh approaches to their scripts, rather than sticking with tried but true interpretations. That doesn't mean taking risks is always a good thing, but if you wanted to audition for the part of the princess, or the wicked fairy, or even the prince, I see no reason why you shouldn't. I think you would do better to audition for a part you're genuinely interested in than the one you think you'd fit the best, especially if you dislike the obvious choice.

If you can recall the story that vividly, however, I suspect that you reviewed it a great many times. As an actor, I've had to approach scripts from different angles, and as a result of such study, the scripts and roles become engrained in one's subconscious...

Um. Yeah. That makes sense. I'm guessing if I did participate in a play, they made me be a main character. I remember most of the 'hero swooping in' scenes pretty well.
