Got home about 24 hours ago. Trip home was crap. ScareCanada managed to be an hour late on both flights....though I'm not complaining that my flight from Calgary was late as its the only reason I managed to catch it thanks to the flight from Heathrow being an hour late and Canada Customs deciding that a person who travels on their own for 2 weeks ( Read more... )

Glad you got back home safely (until Lmo got you :D) despite it being a less than great journey.

Birmingham is an okay City its just a bit of a moody teenager - you have to catch it on the right day. Its crawled out of the doldrums of the 70s after the bombings totally killed the centre quite well I think. (I lived and worked in Brum for a good few years so I do have a bit of a soft spot for it - which hotel were you in by the way?)

Anyway enjoy catching up with your sleep.

It wasnt really the city that sucked....it was the weather, my friends being idiots and making us walk for 25 minutes when it shoulda been a 5 minute walk...that sorta thing. The hotel was the Crowne Plaza....not one I'd recommend....the service was horrible and rude, not the nicest location and its not easy to access.

The part of Brum I saw whilsts walking forever seemed nice and had I been in a better mood I'd have gone back for a looksee and shop! But by that point I'd had it hehehe

Almost caught up with sleep.....
