The problem is actually that we don't have school on Halloween - the school used to be military, and the kids used to have to wear JROTC uniforms to school every day, and apparently making them go to school in uniform on Halloween was a risk to their physical safety, so they get Halloween off. (Although they'd much rather have All Saints' Day off so they can stay up late on Halloween. No such luck.)

I'm pretty sure we've never met; the last time I visited Swat was in February 2001, which is... before your time, I believe?
