A young woman sits on the floor in Borders and pushes up her glasses, so wrapped up in her novel that she doesn’t notice the young man who just walked into a bookshelf because he was staring at her.
In Saturn Cafe, a group of young vegetarians order Vegan Chocolate Milkshakes and
Spaghetti with meatless balls, and count their quarters so they can play music from the new
jukebox.
A man walks around handing out tiny paper cranes he’s folded. As he hands one to a passerby, he instructs them to give a hug to three people that they love and pass it on. He smiles. This is his way of changing the world, one crane at a time.
A gay couple walk holding hands, able to forget that the rest of the world sees them differently. Here, like everyone around them, no matter their race, class, or sexuality, they are beautiful.
^My favorites^
This was wonderful, amazing, beautiful and you're brilliant for writing it.

I had to read it in front of the class and that last sentence... I dunno, it was really hard to read and I almost cried.
I contemplated not putting it in, but... I had to.

Your writing always makes me cry, so it's a weird thought that something I wrote had that affect on you.

I LOVE YOU.
