My flooded street!
In this New York Times video on the Brooklyn Tornado seconds 19-21 are my street. They must have been standing across the street from. It's pretty funny because the rest of the story was shot about 50 blocks away in Bay Ridge.

4 am
it is officially 4am and my roommate and i are just getting home from an evening of partying therefore no one can ever make fun of us going to bed super early again because we were there when people were being told to go home. Rockstars, I say, we are rockstars! -

Furniture
I'm moving and trying to cut down to having only about half of my stuff. And the main thing I own is furniture, lots and lots of furniture. way too much furniture for someone my age who moves a hell of a lot. Note to self
As appealing as locking oneself in the special collections cage with all the rare books (and the pop-up book collection!) may sound, in reality, do not do this. It will only be embarassing when you have to yell for help and try to explain to a bewildered ESL student why you are locked in said cage.
