As long as so far their best working diagnosis seems to be helping her and improve her condition, it seems good. It'd be nice if it were more conclusive, but it seems she has made a lot of progress and improvement and development.

I keep reading RBC as red blood cell... and I'm sure you don't work at a red blood cell, they're tiny.

Remembering the bills I paid... RBC as in Royal Bank of Canada? There is a division of that here in T&T, if you need to look for job evolvement.

Exactly. I'm with RBC Wealth Management in Minneapolis. They have a substantial presence in the Channel Islands, but that'd be a step down in the career. If it weren't for Eleanor, and the house, and the roots put down here, I would jump on that or T&T in a heartbeat.

Long-term I can see us being open to a move somewhere, someday, but if so the most likely location would be Toronto to RBC's HQ, because that'd be even closer to Elly's parents.

That'd be a good idea. You could always ask, though, if you need to travel for your job. Especially during the winter! ;)

If you left RBC I would be sad because just about every month when that IRA statement comes, I say "Hey, my friend works there."

This may sound like a small thing, but this is my pathetic life we're talking about.

I don't think I'll leave RBC, really. I'm working from home two days a week (though any advancement would likely entail reducing that somewhat) and overall my coworkers are not total jerks and the work is reasonably challenging. Only some of my coworkers are jerks and that's what happy hour bitching is for.

Did you sign up for the Connect website yet? I sadly left that project last year but I still look back fondly on those good days.

I should. RBC is one of those sites where I signed up once, online, to do something, and then I go back exactly once a year completely unable to recall what username & password I used. So if I can manage to get it reset, I'm in the same boat 12 months later. My recollection is that it was (previously) not a terribly user-friendly signup, but I'll bet that's changed!
