Hello, everyone! Mad busy lately, revision and rehearsals and all sorts, but have been trying to write more regularly so I thought I'd bring you the fruits of my labour. It's not very good, but practice is practice, isn't it?

I believe that this really happened.

It's wonderful. So much unspoken between them. So much atmosphere. It's completely believable. I really adore how you write from Sam's perspective - it feels very him.

Oh I LOVE this! This was standing up and begging to be written, and in just this way. Sam and his lovely angst. Just can't get enough of it. Why didn't he go after Frank then? Cos that's not ANGSTY enough, is why! (I'm assuming 'masculine pat on the shoulder' is a euphemism for 'great big wet sloppy smackeroonie', yes?)

HEE, thank you! Also: damn right he loves his angst. Sam invariably works towards the situation where he can utilise as many of his fifteen different woe-faces as possible. ;)

Loved this, a couple quite a few stunning lines-- I was going to copy them out again but the list was getting ridiculously long, so I'll just point at the last paragraph (and Gene's last line before it) and wibble. And maybe do some flailing. *wibbles and flails*

Aw, thanks tons and tons, I'm really pleased you liked it. Especially the end, which I was really worried about but which seems to have gone down well. Spur-of-the-moment, yaye! :D

EEEEEEE. Thanks very much! I am still riding a flaily high, so detailed and charming fic comments (not wanky - not by my standards anyway, believe me, I am so much worse) make me even happier! In-character is easily the nicest thing that can be said about Life on Mars fic, I reckon, as the show's characterisation is so layered and beautiful that to get an eighth of that would make me very very happy. :D

PPS I watched the Pros ep yesterday where Doyle got all beaten up and Bodie's girlfriend got asploded, good lord. OMG I CAN TOTALLY HAVE PROS ICONS NOW OMG WIN. o gods someone take me away from the internet.
