No I'm serious. I'm traumatized. The worst part is the roach got away. I can feel his presence now, eyeing me from some unseen corner, waiting for another chance to strike. I am so very afraid.

PS have you been to the hi-ho since the hurricane? i went there to see this dutch upright bass player last night, and it's transformed into a very classy joint.

I have not been, but for some reason it's hard for me to imagine the hi-ho as a classy joint.

well you know. it's not that classy. but it's a jazz place now with high ceilings and nice booths. the bathrooms are much cleaner and the cover is steeper. drinks are still cheap, though.

Geoff, I understand your terror. When I came home from work last night I had to kill a roach and then at 3 am I woke up to my cat going crazy chasing a roach around my room, so then I had to kill that one and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I'm going to fog my apartment. I'm petrified.
