I am a psychiatrist's wet dream.

Speaking of which, I'm about to start seeing one (hopefully). Any advice? I've never been to a shrink before and I'm very nervous. Also, any recomendations? I'd prefer talking to someone..."cool".

well first of all--i resent the "shrink" comment.. jusst kidding! well what insurance provider do you have? my psychiatrist is wonderful but the only downside is that he is at ochsner so they are completely overloaded there---which makes scheduling appointments pretty difficult. but to tell you the truth most are hard to schedule with these days---the psychological care system in NOLA and Louisiana in general are stretched pretty thin. but anyways his name is Trent Desselle. you can always look at ochsner's website to get information about all of their psychiatrists' background, experience, and special interest areas as well.

Well, relaxing is good, since it makes it easier to talk. Also make sure you find someone who you feel comfortable talking to. Of course, this probably is information you already know ;)
