Chapter 54 of oofuri...is a very sad moment for the team.
But at the same time, i think the loss opened their eyes more and helped them look onward. They know their mistakes and weaknesses, and now is the time for them to fix them
Ahaha, you felt more or less exactly the same as I did.
Ahhh... when they were all cheering Nishihiro on, I was so moved... I'm so glad Higuchi chose to give Oki and Nishihiro a bigger part in this game. ;__;
I wasn't surprised at all that Tajima was stoic and borderline emotionless, Tajima playing baseball is the most "adultlike", much more so than the others. Izumi was very mature too, so manly... ♥
Momokan's speech was very strong, she basically told them to turn their regret into motivation; they played their very best and it still wasn't enough. So they must be thinking "If only I had hit more, or ran more, or if I had more skills..." etc, and they should turn those thoughts into desire to improve themselves. They don't have time to be crying now, there is the Newcomer's tournament (idk what that is though) and the Fall tournament as well.
