I got an email from Paul Sorvino

Mar 25, 2005 07:01

His family runs a dog rescue in Vermont and I emailed the rescue and Paul himself (or "Paulie," as he calls himself) emailed me back. He's nice and funny and he RESCUES GERMAN SHEPHERDS and other dogs, so he is currently My Hero, and Sunday is hereby Paulie Sorvino Day in the loachie/steakumms household. (Easter Schmeaster.)

Does it have to be a "House".
You might want to consider a farm, with acreage and out-buildings.
Me, I just plain envy you, as you seem to have the financial ability to play around with living space in the way that I would like to.
Keep us posted.

Oh no, one of the properties we're looking at is a farmhouse (circa 1800), with a 20,000 square foot barn. It's a serious contender. I just think it needs quite a bit of work. If it's liveable while we renovate sections, and structurally sound, it's certainly a contender. (Although it only comes with 3.5 acres; the family sold off the land already--another sad reality in Maine.)

We're going to turn the barn (if we get it) into the Fergus Performing Arts Center, and we're going to bribe/wheedle/(kidnap) Lucinda Williams into being our opening act. Or Patty Griffin, 'cause she's from Maine.
