Writing Accountability Post #ILostCount

Dec 29, 2018 13:13

In the 9 days since my last post, I've had a migraine, involved myself in family-holiday things, slipped on the ice shoveling snow, fell down the stairs in the house, and wrenched my shoulder catching myself from what would've been an awfully painful fall. Somewhere in there, the Spouse got miffed at me, and I think it had something to do with ( Read more... )

Yikes! Hope you're not in too much pain and your husband forgives you for the scare!
Sounds like good progress!

My husband is fascinated with hydroponics! I've wanted a Fitbit for awhile. My phone counts my steps but not unless I'm carrying it everywhere.

The holidays were good here. No mishaps or hassles.

I'm still in one piece!

I don't carry my phone around either so never used it to count steps. Apparently Fitbits do more than count steps now?

Glad to hear you had good holidays!

Good to hear!

Don't know much about Fitbits other than that counting steps part.

Thanks!

Sounds like you ought to sit down and do more writing. It seems safer..... :)

Yikes, I hope the pain will go away soon!

Please share a pic of the Ravenclaw scarf, I'm curious on how big it is! I've been thinking of starting knitting again, but the want will probably go away in a week and I'll have another unfinished scarf laughing at me.

My holiday has been surprisingly joyful and comfy, there was lots of good food, the best do you remember stories and a great amount of board games. And now I'm looking forward to damage my liver by welcoming 2019 ;-)

I seem to only knit when I'm watching a movie...

The scarf is... 6" wide and currently 30" long, so it has a long way to go before it's done. It's also double-thick (in that I'm knitting in the round, then laying it flat as a scarf), so that adds to how fast I can go.

(Which isn't much, but since I taught myself a different way to knit it seems to be faster?)

I currently have only one sock made waiting for a partner 4 years later, 2 unfinished blankets, and a finished shawl I still haven't blocked out (8 months later)... oh! and one unfinished scarf because I started it using a complicated pattern that I can never remember and hate doing. So there's a nice chorus of laughter around here too.

Glad to hear you are having great holidays! Happy 2019!

I fell down the stairs about three weeks ago and my back still isn't happy. Though hitting my sin against my kid's bed hard enough to make it bleed is more annoying to me at this point. We're such klutzes here; my kids are as bad as I am. Except not the husband. Which fits with the "intuitives aren't as aware of the physical world around them and are clumsier as a result" theory. Anecdotal evidence anyway. Perhaps we could add you to the list of theory-confirming examples?

Sounds like you really did a number on yourself! Hope you're feeling better.
