He hadn't told her why they were going. Only to pack for a week and anything else they could get there. That said, the private jet meant she didn't have the airport to give her clues, and everyone was careful what they said around Ariadne ( Read more... )

Admittedly Ariadne was never one to be left in the dark. But Arthur had done a damn good job at insuring that she was.

So she honestly had no idea where they were headed, that is until they landed. "Are you serious?" She asked - or more stated - as her eyes took in all that was around them, a wide smile spreading across her face as she did. (She hadn't been expecting this)

It was clear, Ariadne was extremely pleased with this. It was almost as if she was a child on christmas day, with they way her eyes lit up at it all. "Arthur Tossi, you are far too sneaky for your own good." She stated, attempting to send him a stern face. Knowing full well, it was failing miserably.

Drawing her to him, Arthur kissed her brow. He couldn't help himself. Just the look on her face was so much of what he had done this for. Seeing her happy, so contented, it was why he did this. That and he loved Dubai and work here didn't happen enough.

"I do try, and you deserve the best," he proclaimed, taking her arm to help down the steep incline of the stairs. "Which I've assured with different hotels, spa treatments, dinner in some of the finest places both known and unknown in the city," he said, pausing at the bottom with a wider grin. "Not to mention a job where you were requested personally at the reccomendation of Mr Saito," he announced, watching for her reaction to that.

Ariadne made a quick face, more out of reflexes then anything, as she was never one to be pampered. But when it came as a gesture from Arthur, that always changed things, and she was more then willing to accept the kindness. "You really put thought into this, huh?" She asked then as her eyes traveled over the landscape still.

His last words caused pause though, turning to look at him with a curious expression, asking: "So this is a job?" It sounded almost curiously uncertain then, as she wasn't sure what to think. She hadn't had a job - in well ever so she was going to jump at the chance. But still, there was a reason for coming here then it seemed - other then the random vacation.

The words hit him and he wondered if he'd screwed up somewhere. "No, not a job, per se," he said, frowning. Uncertainty was a new thing for Arthur and yet he found it often creepy up from time to time. Not that he wasn't trying but dating was still new to him beyond casual things. Ariadne was anything but casual to him.

"More a dinner than a job. If you want it, that's up to you and it'll be after the first of the year. I just... I got a call because Saito apparently give out your number and I thought of how amazing this could all be and I can call them now and cancel," he said, reaching for his phone.
