Making a big mistake

OOC: Open to all. Just about all Slayers and Seers will be able to feel what happens to Laurian, though other chars can of course just drop by because they wanted to practice their own music skills.

Backdated to the weekend of 8 and 9 November. (Feel free to decide whether it's Saturday or Sunday.)It had been a while since Laurian had gone ( Read more... )

Roxy often had to make due do with whatever lab space was available. And sometimes she would simply have to improvise. With occupants in the traditional lab and in her room, she picked up some of her work over at the music room. So long as it went unoccupied she had nothing to worry about ( ... )

Pain as well as unpleasant memories flooded her mind, making it hard for the Slayer to focus on anything else. The voice that came from outside this torturous little world almost went unnoticed. But even with Laurian registering the question, she was not exactly in a position to say anything. Her mind simply refused to work at that point.

"M-my arm..." she then managed to utter before a new wave of pain cut off her voice. Laurian closed her eyes, trying to block out the pain and the memories. She was usually good at blocking out things that were unnecessary, but this was too strong. If only her arm could be returned to the sling... but she needed help from that. And there was help, but if she couldn't make herself clear, how could she expect the other to understand what she wanted?

Roxy scratched back of her head. The problem was the arm, but how exactly should she proceed from here? Laurian had the unfortunate distiction of being a living and breathing organism. Roxy's ability to patch things up tended to involve various bits of metal, gears or circuts...or some combination thereof.

Then she noted the sling...and recalled that she had an arm in it. Well, that should have been obvious enough. But, it did beg the question of just how much good would that do?

Roxy assisted Laurian into a seated position and proceeded to guid the arm back towards the sling, "Here's hopin' this does......somethin'..." she trailed off, speaking mostly to herself. Another thing that most professional doctors had, that she didn't, was a good bedside manner.

Roxy helped her into a seating position, and then with her arm. The pain was even worse than before, though it could not be helped. Laurian closed her eyes and bit on her lip to keep all sound inside. But a few tears of pain still escaped from the closed eyes.

"Thank you," Laurian said, though only her lips moved. There came no sound out of it. She took a few deep breaths to try and get herself under control again, but the incident left her scared, weak and vulnerable. There would be certainly no playing today. For now, there was only one thing she wanted.

"Can you..." Laurian broke off what she was about to say, gathering all of her will to make herself sound a bit stronger than she felt at the moment. "Can you help me up and... maybe take me to Rei's room?"
