Christmas time

OOC: Hope it's okay I kidnapped Rei for some cozy Christmas together. =P Rei only.It had been a little more than a month since Laurian had left St. Catherine's to go back to her own home. She had responsibilities there and as much as she wanted to be near her girlfriend, those responsibilities just had to go first

The Seer began to turn, feeling Laurian's presence approaching her even through the crowded room. Eyes like amethyst cut through the others gathered for this Christmas party, passing the others by to immediately settle upon the girl she had not seen in far too long. "Laurian," she replied in turn, her voice practiced and respectful, but still with the happiness she felt unmistakable in it's tone. A small but genuine smile graced the corners of her lips as she stood, dressed elegantly and ladylike while awaiting her escort to join her at her side.

She was staring at the girl, Laurian knew that, but she didn't care. She then reached out to trace a finger over Rei's cheek. Always so beautiful and elegant. Like an angel from a dream. Compared to Rei, she was almost crude and a joke in her dress. The only time she ever wore a dress, but it never really suited her. She was a Slayer; too tall, too muscled and too scarred. But Rei...

Words got stuck in her throat, held back by a big lump that had nestled itself there. But Laurian didn't need words. She caught Rei in a tight, loving, one-armed embrace, which probably said more than words ever could on how much she had missed the girl. Even if it had been only a few weeks.

"Turn around," she said softly after a few minutes. "Turn around and close your eyes. I got something for you."

She was no mind-reader as many would claim, but the psychic girl could feel those concerns with her spiritual sense as they entered her lover's mind. Still smiling warmly from the silent praise, Rei lightly teased her partner over her request. "I haven't seen you in weeks, and the first thing you ask of me is to turn away?" Her own arms tightened around Laurian's waist in protest. "You look lovely this evening," she then said in earnest. "If I close my eyes, then I won't be able to see you at all..."

"It's only for a little while," Laurian promised. "But I want to surprise you..." She could not help but sound a little disappointed at Rei's objection. She couldn't even tell what was said as a tease and what was meant seriously. "I'll be with you the whole evening. And night. And every other moment you are here."

A hand trailed over Rei's arm. "Please?" Laurian then said softly. "For me?"
