It is hard for one's wife to die. The very saying of the sentence is a slap in the face to anyone who has gone through it, a true piss-on-the-ashes smiting if you've ever felt the deep, deep hurt of it all: the seemingly inexorable pain of wandering aimlessly, a half person. A question: Is this fiction?

Even if it's not, I think I feel exactly what you want the reader to. This was a very fast read, and feeling so manic as I was going along seemed to help the mood of everything.

Feeling manic lately? I've been SO lonely here on campus early. There's no one else here that I know. Hopefully more people will arrive today (they're supposed to). Anyways...hopefully more cheery messages will arrive in the future.

i like this because i think i understand this. not the specific situation of course, but the thoughts and the emotions. it reminds me, for no pinpointable reason, of how i've felt in reaction to things and God and life this past semester.
