We decided to wait until December to see what position we're in then.  To see if we're capable and easily handling the payments with the car and such.  And I think we will be.  I talked to my mom about it and she said she was happy for us and to go for it.  That you can never be 100% ready for a baby, but things have a way of working out

Best of luck!! Considering my variety of friends with children, there isn't the perfect time for babies and they always seem to pull through. I think it's a great thing that you are controlling your debt and feel like you're in a relatively stable situation. I think debt is the trickiest slope when it comes to planning a family.

Thanks. And we feel good at being debt free. We still have the one debt, as I mentioned, but at least there's no interest on it so it's easily manageable.
