You most likely caught that nasty cold from your students coughing and sneezing in your direction so I hope you sent it bnack to them via their exam books. Serves them right. LOL I do hope you feel better soon and that Mary avoids catching it.
130 exams in three days? I don't think I could do that if I stayed awake and working straight through all three days. I would be batty at the end of it. I agree that grading exams is a rotten task - the worst part of teaching if you ask me.
I am back from the Middle East. Hopefully I won't have to go back anytime soon but that is uncertain. I'd just as soon stick with the meetings in central Europe. Now if it would only warm up.
Glad you're safely back from the Middle East, Tim. I'm wondering whether it was your presence there that goaded all those Palestinians to vote for Hamas. :)
I don't envy you having to travel to central Europe in the near future. It sounds as though February there is going to be even colder than usual. But Cape Town is sunny and 26°C today, and that's where Mary and I will be next Wednesday (not that I'd want to gloat about that, of course).
Maybe someday Dubya will learn that their is much more to democracy than a free election. Someone should have whispered the old adage in his ear, "Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it." I guess we will see whether the $500 million in aid for the Palestinians is more important to Hamas than is their avowed goal of the destruction of Israel.
I hope you have a great time in South Africa. Be a good chap and bring back some of that warm weather.
