TOO MANY FAMILIAR FACES (spoilers for OP 525)
Duuuuuuude.
When Boa Hancock was introduced.. the never-ending parallels with Alvida were too blatant. To the point where I was wondering "did Oda FORGET about her (and Buggy) and just decided to create a new character with the exact same gimmick?"
Nah, a catfight was in the script from the start.
Buggy and Alvida are SO BACK! I did have a lingering feeling they wouldn't be left out. Too many major players have been gathering and it'd seem especially odd for them to be left out since they were the last ones to accompany Ace before his imprisonment. But still, seeing it is so.. yes yes yes!!!
And Buggy escaped from Impel Down. How awesome is that?
It'll be interesting to see if he does manage to succeed in getting Ace out. And if he does, would that be enough to stop the gears of war? Why does he even want to break Ace out anyway? To avoid chaos? To make a name for himself? Because he needs Ace's help to flee the compound? Friendship?
Buggy, along with Shanks, was an opponent of Whitebeard on a rival crew. If he does help Ace for any kind of noble reason, it'll be interesting to see how the Emperor will respond.
Luffy and Ace ARE blood-brothers. Okay. I don't know why everyone was flipping out speculating over Ace's name and possible parentage. Even if he wasn't blood-related to Luffy, would it matter? They grew up together, consider each other brothers, etc. so WHO CARES? I don't understand why this was such a big deal. Though I never had a doubt that they were related somehow, namely because the similarities between Garp and Ace were too strong. (Looks-wise, the narcolepsy.)
Now watch Gold Roger and Garp turn out to be brothers.. or brothers-in-law. (I will be proven correct - I swear.)
I echo Ace's sentiments, Dragon's a deadbeat dad. First Usopp, now this? Luffy should have chosen his mom's name, too.
And aww.. Buggy crew & Alvida left their captain behind! Why do I have a nagging feeling this is all paving way to make possible the inevitable Hancock/Alvida mudfight.
Because come on, Buggy/Alvida is so meant to be.
But for a really earnest catfight over Luffy to happen, Buggy needs to be 'out of the picture'. This works out a little perfectly doesn't it? (Dammit, that's my justification and I'm sticking to it.) Not that I'm really looking forward to this match-up, since it's:
a) an excuse for fanservice and
b) further damning validation that even among the higher ranks, in One Piece women are only allowed to have 'real' fights with each other. They just aren't on par with men.
I really need to get working on that Hancock rant..
But first Moria, then Buggy&Alvida. I am VERY HAPPY.
Now all Oda neesd to do is bring Ener back with his little Spacey minions. :D

Okay, besides Nami's adventures on Sky Island: part deux, the other scenario I'm most looking forward to is Zoro/Perona's honeymoon in trippy Transylvania. I mean, I love Usopp/Perona.. but I can't deny that these two; together; alone; and in an abandonned castle is going to be hilarious good fun. And it was kind of cute how she took such good care of him, even falling asleep sitting by his bedside.. Okay, Zoro/Perona is cute, I said it.
But really.. how the hell is the crew going to reunite? Including East/South Blue, they're all over the freaking map.
