Distractions are welcome attractions

So my brother's in jail. Not the first time, but this is the longest he's ever been kept over. Suffice to say, I was in a bad mood and completely brushed off my friends Friday (which I feel slightly guilty about), but I just.. really don't want to see anyone. He called me last night asking to deliver a message to his girlfriend, then started ( Read more... )

Oh God, my jaw just dropped as I read that, man. I'm sorry to hear that things are getting more stressful for you. *hugs*

I haven't been on MSN these days because the big PC upstairs had a problem with letting me log in, but since I've gotten a new MacBook I'll hopefully get MSN back so we can talk, if you want to.

Thanks, though the unpleasantness does seem to be over for now. I just hope things will finally calm down.. I'm sick of dealing with this.

MacBook = laptop? If so, I'm jeeeaaalous. I haven't been on as much myself the past few weeks but lemme know when you do get it back.

Much appreciated. He's out now (on probation) but I'm still keeping a watchful eye.

It's a beatiful feeling isn't it? I did it all the time when I was younger, then stopped after the miracle of online downloading. But it's like, why wait to download when I can pre-tape and watch it the MOMENT i get home? No radiation sickness from staring at the monitor either!

I am so sorry to hear that... it's hard to imagine how you must be feeling. I really hope you can at least distract yourself well enough to feel a bit "better"?

Oh, btw, it might please you to hear that due to the job at the cinema, I've become way more laid-back and less whiny. I'm pursuing more of a "whatever, go bother someone else, what's next"-attitude now. X3 ... well, most of the time.

Well helplessness is one of the worst feelings for me, but I was able to occupy myself decently (with BSG) before all the nit and grit and legal dealings that week. I don't know why escapism is looked at so negatively, it is awesome.

And that does please me! Also that you've stuck with it. Though I personally never saw you as whiny, just lacking in self-esteem (and maybe a bit paranoid lol.)
