I totally dig it. Alot done with little material to read :)

If I had any criticism, I guess it'd be that the part about him wanting some brandy was kinda out of place. Thats about it methinks!

he wants the brandy because he can't cope with what's going on. he's remembering how relaxing it was to drink the brandy with leroy when his house still existed.

is that really not clear at all?

No no, it was definitly clear in its purpose, but I think its delivery was over-emphasized. I'm thinking maybe an elipsys or hyphen would clear up any issue, some kind of separation more like a caesura. Like, "that brandy sure is good - I sure could use some right now -"

So, I had yet another pleasant conversation with the admissions office at guilford. I am still planning to visit, and as such, still have no where to stay.
