But... then what's a guy who looks like me now doing ten years in the past?

[The implication is unsettling to be honest. Because unless he comes up with a suitable explanation, it might just mean it isn't Vanitas who looks like Sora... It's the other way around.]

None of it makes sense. If anyone's supposed to look like you, it should be me. And Vanitas should look like-someone else.

I asked Ventus about this too. He doesn't know either.

I used to think this was all because of Siren's Port and the Core, but now I'm not so sure anymore.

None of us do. We were both a little freaked out when we met. [Also Roxas sort of started a fight with him but no need to mention that.]

The Core does a lot of weird things, but I don't think this is one of them. I think it just showed us some weird things we didn't know existed before.

We ran into each other and had a fight. I beat him unconscious and left him in a field.

[It's easy to imagine Vanitas starting that fight. It makes it easier to be okay with the end result. After all, despite their rocky start, he trusts Roxas way more than Vanitas.]

... He probably had it coming. Bet that was his fault too?
