As usual, Natalie was casting idle glances around with an interest that looked milder than it actually was. Even with how well enough she'd gotten acclimated - translating had been a good thing to focus on - it would have taken a lot not to take an interest.

This was not an everyday thing for her in any shape or form.

"Well, it does make for a pretty orderly impression," she remarked, idly. "Smart, image-wise, I guess."

"The Haitians are proud of their country," Peter said, shooting her an amused look in response. "They don't remember colonial times as sharply as they do in your time, but they've got centuries of independence and conquered hardship to be proud of."

He began to stroll up the stairs.
