This week was being utterly ridiculous. And Natalie was still having to wear a light scarf and a shirt that properly covered up her shoulders for reasons that were none of your business. She was making up for it with a short-ish skirt because you had to try and cool down somehow.
And she had her own reasoning as to why Peter would be safe to talk to. Whether that would hold was anyone's guess.
"So is it the fashion icon wife or the probable film star mistress you're objecting to?"
Peter wrenched his attention away from his desk immediately. "The man spent his life thinking with his dick and still made president," he pointed out. "It's disgraceful."
"It's stupid," Peter replied. "An opportunistic half-wit like Kennedy should have never sought office."
He rolled his shoulders and looked at Natalie, which was a mistake, but he was completely too disgruntled to linger on that (the mistake part, not the Natalie part) for too long.
