Natalie had an eyebrow firmly raised as she leaned in the door. She'd been meaning to check up on him, anyway. Now she was just... differently curious.
"Did I just hear you singing? Because that's kind of my thing."
Peter gave her the stink-eye - but said stink-eye was quickly drawn back to his screen.
No no no no do not sing especially not about this in front of her.
He twitched at the indignity of it. "I take my coat and I go where I always go-- Guess that I'll pay for the ride. Right or wrong, it's the same old song, cause you never try."
As if by magic, the speaker on his computer responded, quoting some choice bits from the email in an oddly pleasant cadence.
Shut up cause you never listen, you're selfish and conceited and man you never compromise--
"Well I still shine," Peter interrupted it.
Honestly, Natalie could at least have the decency to leave him alone to his quickly-shredding ego.
