Banging on her door was never Natalie's favourite. That may have influenced how fast she came to open it.

"Theresa? What is it?"

She had a few guesses.

"The house is on fire," Theresa said flatly, "Help us convince Peter it's time to leap out the window."

"Why don't you all become Hegemon, if you know so well," Peter snarled from his own apartment.

Well, at least Natalie didn't need convincing. Wasn't it just yesterday that Jim had come by to pick up Moxy just because she was concerned things might get hectic around here? Yeah.

She suppressed a sigh as she started for Peter's door.

Theresa followed right behind into Peter's apartment. Peter himself was seated on his bed, steadily losing his patience.

John Paul seemed about in the same state of mind.

"I know you mean well," Peter said, anger clear in his voice.

"Shut up," said Theresa. "Just shut up with your patronizing tone. You saw the letters. We didn't make that up. Hot Soup found a way to tell Bean and Petra that the whole rescue was a setup. You were had, smart boy. Achilles has this whole place sussed by now. Every move you make, somebody tells him."
