Natalie had been packed for a while, owing less to having no doubts about this plan (because she had several) and more to... that just being in her nature. She didn't have a ton of stuff to begin with.

You know, it kind of made perfect sense that the first time Natalie ever heard the phrase 'girl talk' in relation to herself, it came from Theresa Wiggin. A weird sort of sense, but still.

"I think he objects to girl talk," she noted dryly.
