Death is an end. It can also be a beginning.

Predictable. Beginning of what? How do you know?

Of many things. You can have the death of self, which gives birth to the new self, to the future self. Such as, the death of winter brings the life of spring. Death is also change, and transformation. One dies, and reincarnates, that is a new beginning, a new life.

There is also the death that happens in order to bring life. Many creatures die in order to bring forth their young, like a flower that wilts and falls, has developed seeds to create a new flower. The praying mantis that dies so it's mate can lay it's eggs.

But... where it is a cycle, it is also an end. One who dies will never come back as they used to be. You can't return... and should never return. There is only forward on the path, there is nothing behind once you pass it.

...Death is sad, painful, and unavoidable. But it's... important.

I suppose the ultimate death is being forgotten.

..."ultimate death"?

Physical death means nothing. You can still live on in deeds and in the hearts of others. A man's ideals never die. Not unless he is forgotten.

Losing everything you have until there's nothing left to live for. Until you're truly living for the sake of living, and nothing else.
