I was refered to as "my friend" rather than "my conductor" or "my ex-teacher" or "my tutor" or "my colleague".

Maybe in retrospect, i'm not much of a friend to start of in the first place....

Oh well.

I haven't been updated my lj as often as I used to, but then again, looking back I hardly am in the habit of typing down all the inane things that happened in my life. The band concert was over and done with, much to the relief of the teachers in-charge and myself. Tensions were high, tears were shed, but ultimately it was all good. My colleague noted that the students were like black holes, perpetually hungry and thirsty (something that I can relate too). But it was good, and even Prof. Ho enjoyed the show ( Read more... )

I've managed to speak with the Big Boss yesterday, and after i broke to him the news, he was rather calm and reflective. He shared with me that he was really glad that I am taking a pro-active stance in furthering my career, and that he felt very confident that I am ready to level up and pursue a leadership position. I've already finished up my CV and did up my digital portfolio. There have been several offers already, despite the fact that I merely vocalized my intentions to leave.
