i have a great desire to knit a hooded cloak (much like the one in lord of the rings, really really wide and long drooping hood).

i fantasize going into the woods wearing it. it would be made of a nice brown or dark green or gray soft wool..

sew one out of wool fabric, it will last longer and take less time

hmmm that requires a sewing machine. do you think that some fabric stores have sewing machines that you can rent for x amount of hours?
