Do you consider me a part of your "menagerie"?

1. Name: Karma
2. Age: 16
3. Birth date: December 26, 1988
4. Location: North Carolina
5. Five Adjectives to Describe Yourself: Creative, intelligent, open-minded, adventurous, passionate.
6. Interests: Acting, Star Wars, Greek tragedies, writing, drawing, animation, video games, being outside, pretending, the rain, forests, ancient civilizations.
7. Talents: Acting, drawing, debating, video games. I’m an okay writer.
8. Have you read the comics and/or watched the movies? Sorry, I’ve only seen the movie, but I really enjoyed it. I’m sure they’re different. I do my research when voting.
9. Have your read any of the books that the characters were taken from (however roughly)? Not unless summaries and a child’s version of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and one of the Tom Sawyer book(s?) count. I know the basic story of most of them, but I haven’t read one.
10. How do you feel about or deal with... (Explain if possible, however shortly)
a. Power?: Power’s a tempting and nice thing, but I don‘t think it should be used to harm or manipulate.
b. Pain?: It exists, and no one can live without experiencing it physically or emotionally. I don’t expect everyone to be compassionate. However I believe that no one should judge other people’s pain. What’s the point in saying someone shouldn’t feel bad just because you’ve been through worse? That really bothers me. As far as dealing with it goes, I ignore it as much as possible. I don't mind it when others show their pain, but I try to be 'better' than that.
c. Love?: It’s overrated. Too often people become dependant on it, and if it’s taken away, they fall into depression.
d. Death?: It doesn’t scare me, and it doesn't amaze me. To me it’s just another part of life and who-knows-what, and when it comes, I will go without fear.
e. Science?: I like discovery channel and science fiction, and I recognize it’s helped us with a lot of things, but other than that I can get sick of it really quickly. I’m actually really good at science, but I don’t enjoy it. I’d rather be out doing things than messing with vials and copying down formulas.
f. Stress?: I think if you sort of welcome it, it won’t help. I don’t get stressed much, but when I do I’ll sulk and become pretty irritable.
g. Leadership?: Someone has to lead, and I often find myself taking charge. I can follow, if the person leading is very good at it, but I can’t stand being bossed around.
h. Government?: A lot of people need it, and even if we were to have none, someone would end up taking over. I see advantages in all types.
i. People in general?: They’re okay. I’m not much of a people person. It’s kind of hard to speak of them in a general way though, because there are so many types of people.
11. General Favorites (and why)
a. Book(s): Congo, because I love the journey and the characters are interesting, The Lost World for the same reasons. I really like Michael Crichton‘s style of writing. He doesn’t go overboard with descriptions, and his characters seem like real people. He also makes the science parts easy for anyone to understand. I like Treason for all of the unique environments and the journey. Shadows of the Empire is a new favorite, I think it really sticks to the same feeling the Star Wars original trilogy had.
b. Movie(s): Star Wars. The storyline and all of the characters are great. And there are so many planets. I love the whole Jedi idea. That’s my fantasy career. With all of the details put into it, it really is like a whole other galaxy that could exist. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is another favorite now. I rented it because of this community, and I love all of the characters, their strengths, their flaws, and how they come together. I also like the action, and their outfits.
c. Music: Anything David Bowie. There’s variety in his music. A lot of artists just stick to one thing. He’s also talented, has a great voice, and extremely attractive. There’s something ethereal about him. I’ve liked all of his songs.
d. Historical Period(s): Ancient Greece is pretty cool, I don’t know why, it just seems romantic. It had some great stories too.
e. Myth(s): I like epics, and Greek tragedies, but I’m not sure if they’d count as myths so I guess I don’t have a favorite.
f. Quote(s): “I’ll make you so in love with me...that every time our lips touch you’ll die a little death,” because I know I would fall for it, and, “I killed them. I killed them all. They’re dead. Every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women, and the children. They’re like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. I hate them!” just because it’s so fun to type and say.
12. Would you like to be stamped as a character from the comics, the movie, or both? Movie is good. If you're familiar with the comics and want to do both, I don't mind.
13. Anything else? I want Sawyer’s jacket. Badly.
14. Picture(s) of yourself
