Hopefully helpful comic notes

I know people are having trouble with the comics characters, and naturally it'd help the most if you found them in your local library, but there are some pointers out there on the web. Including this site. The Wikipedia entry may be the most useful of all however. I'm still not sure who the Doctor is myself, for example, though I've read both ( Read more... )

Thanks very much for providing the links. :D

And the Doctor'd be Fu Manchu... s'pose I should probably note that. Many thanks for pointing it out. ('cause yeah, in the comics themselves, he's referred to as The Doctor.) And if I can make the brain work enough, shall get some more information on the minor-types. Hrumhrum.

Aah, that explains it. I remember him, though mostly because of Christopher Lee's Fu Manchu. What an apt icon choice up there then. I don't remember anything about Prendrick (or the version of Artful Dodger you posted a pic of), Broad Arrow Jack, Ishmael (never read Moby Dick either) or Samson, Mr Quong only in what I read from the links, and Dupin I can only guess was there when they fetched Hyde from Paris?

I don't remember, others don't know, so 1-3 line descriptions of each might indeed be helpful. It's more work, but that's the ideal situation. If I can get my hands on the comics again, I'll see if I can help, but for now it's as much on hold as your mod'ing due to being busy. For the time being, adding the Wikipedia link or something to the info page might be the best option?

Many of them are very minor characters (Dodger especially... I'd almost feel bad about adding him, but eh, theft is fun). Prendrick ran around on the island and warned Mina and Allan about Moreau, Dodger was in the city in a Fagin-esque role during the attack in Vol. 1, Jack and Ishmael were Nemo's mates, Samson was the carriage driver in Vol. II who wasn't ruffled by Hyde(and who appeared several times in said capacity), Quong of the information, and aye, Dupin in Paris.

Aye, definitely going to add the link; trying to get sleep tonight, but may get it before I go to bed. And shall definitely get on the descriptions as soon as I can. Wheeparty.
