“This Morning”
This morning,
I woke up,
Stretched, yawned and scratched,
Climbed the five feet down to the floor,
Grabbed some clothes,
Went into the bathroom,
Took off my shorts,
Stepped into the shower,
Dried myself off,
Brushed my teeth,
Gave up on my hair,
Got dressed,
Found my books,
Opened the door,
And realized I hadn’t thought about you for a week and a half.
