For Allison

A woman lies, in a hospital bed,
Her breaths are coarse, her mind devoid of thought,
She breathes alone, her body and soul sundered,
Her hopes, her cares, all lie now bare, plundered.

A woman lies, in a hospital bed,
Her friends can cry, but they cannot aid her,
She fights alone, her breaths are such a cost,
Her tears, her laughs, now all are gone, are lost.

A woman lies, in a hospital bed,
She tries to wake, attempts to keep the spark
She's torn alone, struggle is like a crime,
Her life, her death, they dance the dance of time.

A woman lies, in a hospital bed,
She wants to live, she wants to rise and laugh,
She is alone, but she will not give in,
She knows, She dreams, accepting would be final sin.

Allison, I hope that soon, you find yourself in whatever paradise you deserve. Bless you. I love you in life; and soon, when you're released from the pain of this disease in you, I will love you after life has left you. God and Goddess bless you, Allison Duncan.
