Okay, but you have to kind of detach your mind from what it knows about Arthurian legend (or at least read this?) and then fall in love with THIS Arthur, who is insufferable and proud and also good-hearted and brave and ever-so-slowly getting wiser, and who teases Merlin but would do anything in his power to protect him, and is just ARTHUR, OK.
Jesus, Reena, at least look at this. And no, I will not stop linking you to things until you give in!
Though there are an abnormally high number of ridiculously awesome modern AUs, so you know, that's lucky too. And when you run out there's always Bradley/Colin . . . .

Hi! Not forbidden at all; in fact, I'm really glad you commented, and also, I know I really need to do better about giving writers feedback, so this was a very good reminder. I really liked your fic, actually, and some parts I especially loved, particularly Gaius and Gwen-Merlin's interactions with both of them were perfect, and a really nice touch. I get sad when there are Arthur/Merlin fics that don't focus at all on the other characters! And I pretty much love Gwen, yours especially. Also, I love this line, just because, lkdjfs oh Merlin:
"Yes, why not," Merlin said, grumpy. "Gwen wants to sleep in his bed, too. Let's make it all four of us. All together. Why, do you want to join as well? Let's invite Uther. Oh no, wait, we can't, he will burn us all for defiling his son."I think what felt off to me about the fic was that at times it felt a bit like dub-con in terms of Arthur continually ordering Merlin into his bed, which is more my own fic-preferences than your fic, so that's not really concrit!
