Wow, this is amazing! Thank you for doing this. It would be a terrible shame for all this Rogan fan history to be erased forever! I came along too late in the game to be a part of this group. Are the fics all within messages sent between members, or are some of them freestanding files?

Whew! Long work week (understaffed, no surprise!) so I knew I had to post this before I went back 'cause I was gonna be slammed. *pants* lol. Anyways, yay, you're welcome! Right now, the fics are all within the messages sent between members. The next step will be to save them into individual fan fiction documents. Some of them have already been saved into individual story files and are posted at these links:

I came along in like...late 2002 (after the first movie) so I missed a lot of the original burst of L&M fanfiction, and I missed the first fandom war that ended up creating the "split" between the two worlds of Logan and Marie fans. Ironically this fandom split is actually what contributed to saving these fan fiction stories. It was a pain in the ass at the time, all the drama, but if the DDFH had not been created in the way it was, a HIDDEN group with an intentionally strange name that you would never associate with Wolverine and Rogue fan fiction, a group you had to get approval to join, etc., we would have lost so many stories. It's funny how things work out ( ... )

You know, reading all this makes me roll my eyes again. I came into this fandom a bit late as well, so the 'groups' were already formed. I really had no idea about all the drama. I joined the public group and happily posted away. I befriended people left and right, not knowing or being aware they belonged to different groups and not knowing about all the drama. I learned about the 'hidden' group eventually and joined that one as well ( ... )

OMG, this is amazing! Thank you so much! I'm going to grab all these. Yay!

As for the LoganandMarie.com website... well, it's been a huge struggle but it seems I'm finally getting somewhere. The site is still on my ex-husband's name. He co-operates, but the domainhost is not. Today I contacted them again and now it seems like I'm going to get an authorisationcode to transfer the domain to a Dutch hosting party. If my ex is going to forward that email to me, I can finally get something online again. Fingers crossed. (Might take 4 days to get the code. In the meantime, I'm going to get something done at Wordpress, because I host my business website there as well.)

Oh that's wonderful! Good for you! That must be a lot of work to try to untangle everything. Thank you for going to all the work. *hugs tight* We look forward to seeing it!

Status update: it took them 6 days to send the authorization code in order to move the domain and I had to contact them yet AGAIN to get it done. Luckily my ex-husband was ready to forward the email to me as soon as they did. We're still friends and he really wants to get rid of this registrar.

So then I moved the domain to a Dutch host where I have all my domains, but now it'll take another 5 days before it's REALLY moved because that's the time my ex-husband gets in order to change his mind and keep it for himself anyway. He won't, but still.. more waiting. *sighs*

Technology REALLY doesn't need to be this big a pain in the ass, I swear lol. I spend so much more time restoring, recovering, and backing up data than I do making new stuff at the moment. Good lord! That's why when you made the post about "is this LJ still needed" I was like NOOOOOOOOO lol. I still have two other fanbases' fan fiction that I need to figure out how to backup and put on a new server that people can see. And I have no idea how to do it yet. No PGO Offline software has been made yet for InvisionForums ( ... )

It was! But I'm so glad to have done it! Whew! *perfect GIF BTW, that's totally how I feel!!!* Ugh, I can only imagine what they'll do with the new X-Men movies. They'll never top the original! Our fan fiction is the best too! Ha.

I've pretty much abandoned the Wolverine & Rogue Fandom at this point. Marvel is completely resistant to it. I still love X-MEN so much and will stay involved from an X-fan pov (this ship is done) and thankfully with your hard work it will be archived for others to share!

The one thing I'm happy with after my time in the WR/LM fandom is I became friends with comic writers Jimmy Palmiotti & Amanda Conner who wrote Unhappy Anniversary.

Hopefully Dutchxfan can have LM.com up and running soon! It's been such a long time since it last went down. I think it's been 2 years if not longer no?

Very cool that you made friends with two of the writers! Dutchxfan is working on the site and she does want to bring it back. It's been actually more than 5 years, I think since it's been online. A long, long time. It will be so much fun to have a place to put all this fandom work that's been sitting around on people's hard drives, though! I know people have been looking for the work so it'll be great to give them a place to finally see a lot of it. Yay!
