Like a part of me is missing

I am car-less for the first time in my adult life.  I sold the 86 last night.  Got what I payed for it, too (or at least the value of the Subie I traded for it).  It was kind of difficult to say no when I saw the crispy hundred-dollar bills come out of the guy's wallet.  You know what they say; cash talks.  I took all my stuff out of the car and ( Read more... )

Oh belive me, I will wear them no matter how short the drive. I've seen too many horrible pictures and heard too many horrible stories about motorcycle accidents. You should see my jacket; it's armored out the wazoo.

Hey I'm car-less too!

Seriously, if I had the means to store a Moped (I'd rather have one than a motorcycle) at the apartment, I would probably have gotten one as a cheap alternative to a car and be living there already as opposed to me schlepping around in Mom's van (complete with two Bush and an anti-abortion bumper sticker(s)) around Bardstown Road.

However, considering anyone could just pick it (the Moped) up, throw it in the back of their truck, and drive off, I don't think it would be a wise idea for me to get one.
