I've been wrestling with similar thoughts lately. Maybe, at 30, I've done what I'm here to do ... and the rest is just watching other folks do their thing? No. I refuse this. I draw my metaphor from nature as well: Many of my flowers are blooming now. They bloom and then the flowers fade, but the plant is vigorous and leafy all summer. Why? It's building a root system, storing energy so that it will come back the next year with more flowers.
Then again, that fits neatly with my recent Buddhist kick.
Nice. Personally, I feel life is like being in a river with a swift current. But we are nt completely at the river's mercy: we can still swim. It's just hard.
only cultivating chi can kick old age's ass. it is hard work, but it is better than the alternative (sitting in Owl Farm in a wheelchair, taking Desert Eagle to own head, etc.)
