my car wreck and the aftermath

So from what I have been told (from several sorces) at midnight on 3-19 while responding to a chimney fire I lost control of the 88 Bronco II I was driving. Tough break. My chief is always on my ass about my driving and I do admit to once or twice having a close call.

Here in NY, your accident would be considered LOD because you were responding. Is that the case where you are? What sort of coverage/benefits are you able to get if it is LOD?

There are lots of folks who are told that walking is not in their future and yet today they are vstrutting around. You may be one of them I'm a nursing student and I can tell you that doctors and nurses DO NOT know everything.

Hang tough.

When he was 18, my brother Matt was involved in a motorcycle accident. The driver simply 'didn't see him' and pulled out, sending Matt over the hood at about 45 mph. he landed flat on his back some 20 feet from the car and slid another 10 across the asphalt. both his legs, his pelvis, and his lower back were messed up pretty bad. The docs told him he'd never walk again. Mom has pics of him rebuilding his moto from a wheelchair. When asked what he was doing, his simple reply was 'gonna need some way to get around when I get out of this chair...'

Today, that man can outrun me, and coaches his son's high school football team in his off-time.

Don't ever give up, my friend. Your will and spirit cannot be held down.
