Since my wreck I have been telling my wife that I would like a leather helmet to replace the carins ten-ten I was issued when promoted to lieutant of my department that was damaged in my wreck and no longer meets NFPA or OSHA standards. Been a while since you posted. Last I heard you were in rehab. Hows it going?

Going pretty good. Most days I don't hurt to bad as long as I keep my pain meds taken on time, but some days I hurt a lot even over what pain meds can control. I went through rehab so fast that I surprised even my therapists. I attribute it to the learning style I picked up in the FD, learn it the 1st time through, get it down good the 2nd or 3rd time through and move on to the next topic.

Hows the walking/getting around thing going? Any progress?

Well, the walking is not happening as of right now, I still have nothing below T6, but from the chair I am mostly independent, still need a little help from my wife on occasion depending on pain level and what I am trying to do. I am needing less and less help as time goes by. My pain level is about the same now as it was about 6 months or so ago, but I have become acclimated to it, so it is less of a damper to what I am doing.
