[Mello closes the book, with a pen marking his place. He's not immune to the awkwardness still lingering between them, and one way Mello deals with stress is by taking action. Even if it means pursuing a ridiculous idea. Hell, espeically if it does, sometimes.]

[Which is completely true. He's still not quite awake enough to have figured out Mello's ploy, but it's only a matter of time, really. He walks forward, trying to brush away the tangible tension between them, and pulls up a seat. Sagging into the chair beside Mello, Matt rubs one eyes with his palm as he yawns.]
I guess... Marseilles? The old house is still there, I think.
[He'd stayed there for a time while he was away from the mansion, and the fact that he still felt so attached to his childhood home spoke volumes for his mood as of late.]
