This article includes an interview with me, and a couple of photos. If you look closely at the photo of me sitting at my desk, you can see my Doyle and Cordelia poster on the wall in the background. :-)

..and here we're being told the economy is "improving". I guess we've got a ways to go before it hits bottom...

I'm still trying to untangle my credit history from my ex and his wife...funny thing is somehow my name is mungered in with theirs at their address...but theirs is not at mine...identity theft? How else could they have amassed 179K in credit card debt?

The people I feel sorry for are the ones who are getting suckered in by the "debt relief" scams... they take the debtors' money and do not pay the bills as promised. They fall into default and then the debt relief people "negotiate....something the debtor could have done themselves.

sigh.

Isn't there supposed to be some Consumer Protection Agency now? Sure is quiet if there is.....

Well, in an odd way, it's an improvement when people who need it can afford to file bankruptcy. Between the filing fees, the pre-filing course, the post-filing course, and paying the lawyer, a bankruptcy filing can be too expensive for many of the people who need it most.

One of my former employers was part of one of those operations. It was long after I had stopped working for him, of course, but it still annoys me.
