YES. haha my goal is just to write longish fanfic. I am terrible when it comes to getting to 1000 words. It's my goal in any fanfic and that's the criteria that makes me post it or not. Knowing what's going to happen is good for ff writers too though; it's what alwasy holds me back... I jsut feel like a loser when I plan fooorever on a 1000 word story, but it'd be worth it if I did it.

Dude, that's the biggest issue- getting past the planning. Planning is safe- you can work out the kinks, or so you think. Secretly, planning (at least for me) is just a tool for procrastination

Yes! This is exactly how I feel writing my stories! I'm not planning to be a novelist, but being a comics artist is just the same, so writing short/long stories and fanfics are pretty much my forte right now. Hope your novel goes well!
