AnthroBlizz Con

Jul 08, 2009 07:33

We didn't get much done this year at AC. It was my first time trying out the con in a few years (since their move from the hotel of fail). I did enjoy the Westin and would have liked to stay there, but due to purchasing late, we ended up in the '5 minute walk' Double Tree ( Read more... )

Oh you are so totally killing me, LoL. I'll be certain to go there if we go next year. :)

Floofy going to Blizzcon! Ooh, my stripes are rainbowcolored with envy ;)

Things to look out for:

- Cataclysm, who or what is this? New project?
- World of Warcraft: The Emerald Dream, details!
- Faction Transfer details
- Almost needless to say: Starcraft II & Diabo III
- SC2: Is the AI finally fixed?
- Argent Tournament, concept art, new bosses, new tactics?
- Thoughts on future improvement of levelling, making WoW more casual, or pleasing the HC fans? The eternal battle between the shallowing of the game.
- Don't forget to pick up your space marine murloc!
- Of course, the sigs

Have fun! You deserve every bit of it.

Yeah, I went for two years, specificly dragged there by a friend who wanted another warm body to pick up swag and keep him company. I'm not going this year because the friend in question was only able to score one ticket. What I remember were huge areas of monitors to play the various games, and various demos and discussions up on large screens. If you like WoW or thier other games it was great. I was bored silly.

If you're not a fan of their games or a game designer the conference lacks any value. It would be like myself going to a dog show. I have no interest in the breeding or confirmation showing of dogs, or products, nor do I own a dog.

I'm still impressed you went though, I get the impression that it is terribly full of loud and stinky people. I'm going since I like the WoW lore, and I love their two other games.

It was pretty loud, but after E3 nothing can be as bad. The fans weren't any uglier or smellier than any other con I've been too.

Don't get me wrong, I like blizzard games, but I've never seen the appeal of blizzcon, so never have bothered to go, that and operational commitments usually keep me right where I am too ^^. I'm not a very mobile mink sometimes :)

If I were going I would picket the convention center and burn my ticket, then rant about LAN play. Fucking nazis.
