I've noticed... in the past year... that I have come upon many epiphanies on the way that my universe works. I say "my" because I don't know if it's the same for everyone else, how can any of us truly tell? Anyways, I don't know why... my brain has been more active... I won't get too deep here, as... well, I tend to become overly wordy and complex. :-/

You're right about Faith and Reason. As the Western world defines these two things now they are largely separate and wholly different concepts. In the Pope's recent speech (you know, the one that Muslims got so mad about?) he specifically discussed this and suggested a paradigm shift in thought.

He gave a potentially frightening idea... but it's also a potentially beautiful one. He didn't give any definite answers on the subject and instead encouraged discussion about it within Universities so as to more clearly approach and resolve these seemingly conflicting issues and ideals of Science/Reason and Faith.

As a final note... just to show you how Faith and Reason used to be intertwined... in the new testament, John started his Gospel by saying, "In the beginning was the Logos,,,, and the Logos was with God." Logos is a Greek word that literally translates to a concept that means both "Reason" and "Word", where the Word is the Word of God. In ( ... )

No, no, I like the input. It's really interesting how difficult it can be to try to combine those two thoughts again, the seemingly conflicting ideas of "Word" and "Reason" I miss you, too, Wes! I hope that we can both find the time soon to see each other.
