Secondly, I'm in the midst of the time loop/alternate universe revelation in JLU. I remember in Smallville the brilliant dream sequences where Lex is president in the Oval Office, then standing amidst the corpses of humanity.

So in the original mythology, did Lex actually become president? What happened?
