I have to admit, I wasn't exactly overhwelmed by the film while watching the film and briefly talking about it with you guys immediately afterwards, but the film has lingered with me and I do want to see it again(on IMAX ( Read more... )

I can't stop thinking about it. You may have fallen victim to the hype machine, which I sort of stayed away from.

The main thing that sticks with me is the questions about how normal people react to terrorist situations. Are people essentially good, or bad? The whole boat sequence reminded me of the subway sequence in Spider-Man 2, where the hero has to rely on the goodness of others.

Plus, I get excited about unrelenting darkness.

Wow. I thought the exact same thing because I also had a problem with the subway sequence in Spider-Man2. It's not that I don't believe in the inherent goodness of man. I just believe that it is rare and that in a crowds they'll be mopre than a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch girl.

I continue to think about the film and really do want to see it again in a theater(and I rarely want to do that anymore.) I think I'm going to go with Tim and see it on an IMAX screen next week.

Wow - that scene in Spidey 2 is one of my favorites in any movie! Sigh!
