Just have to share- I took an AED/CPR class at work yesterday. The instructor said disco's beat is 100/minute. So if you need to give CPR, pump to the beegees. We did, in fact, practice to Stayin Alive.
Stayin' Alive is actually the second best song for CPR; it's got the right rhythm, but its downbeats aren't the strongest, so it's not as easy as it could be to do compressions in time with them. If you want exactly the right rhythm and strong downbeats, you have to go with Queen. But for some reason, they don't use that one.

Out of curiosity, for solo rescuers, do they teach you to give rescue breaths, or is that now gone?
