Also, I have been tempted, almost out of nowhere, by the idea of doing the REI snowshoeing class. I don't think I could until the 2/26 or so, so I have time to talk myself out of it still. Go figure.

I think it would be fun...the only thing I might say is that modern snowshoes are so easy to use there is almost no point to taking a class. You could probably just rent & go. (Though taking a class would provide other people to do it with, so possibly more fun.)

I agree. Just get a few people and go around somewhere. It was much fun!
